Margaret B. Herlihy, 97 years young, of Yardley, PA, passed away on May 25, 2025, in her home of 54 years. She was a strong independent woman filled by her faith and love.

Margaret was born in Yonkers, NY, to Steven and Mary (Scesnok) Yarina. Her siblings included Joseph, Ann and Agnes and a half sister Amy Proft.

In July 1955, she married Michael Herlihy in Pocantico Hills, NY.  During her 25-year career as an executive assistant at Union Carbide, she traveled daily by train between her Yardley home and New York City.

A true passion of her’s and her husband was traveling internationally. Her ability to describe in minute detail of her travels was limitless.  In addition to her family, her neighbors who were her siblings and her caregiver Mirium, she will truly be long remembered and loved.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 10AM at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church 999 Reading Ave, Yardley, PA 19067.  Interment will follow at the St. Ignatius Cemetery on River Road, Yardley, PA.

Memorial donations may be made to Legacy of Life Foundation, 25 South Main St, Yardley, PA 19067.
