James Moore Greeby, III of Yardley, PA died on Sunday October 22, 2017 in his home at the age of 63.
Born in Abington, PA, son of the late James Moore Greeby, Jr and Hazel Townsend Greeby, he had resided in Yardley for the past 27 years.
Jim, as he liked to be called, was a graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College with an Associate's Degree in Arts. He served in the U.S. Army in Southeast Asia and was active with the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Jim later retired as an Administrative Analyst with the New Jersey State Parole Board.
Amongst his hobbies, he had a keen interest and much skill in photography, and was an accomplished woodworker. He loved spending time with his family and friends camping, riding his motorcycle, and enjoying the great outdoors.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rachel A. and Patrick A. Porter of Edgewater Park, NJ; his son, James Michael Greeby of Yardley, PA; his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Michael Carley of DeBary, FL; granddaughter, Mackenzie Porter; his girlfriend, Susan Hagenmeyer of Loveland, CO; his best friends, Dave and Lauren Benney of Pittsburgh, PA, and his dog, Buster. He was the brother of the late Gerald Greeby, and the late Joann Greeby.
Funeral services will be at 10:30am Friday at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, PA. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Huntingdon Valley, PA. Friends may call from 6pm to 8pm Thursday and on Friday from 9:30am until time of service at the funeral home.
