Dear daughters of "Rick" Breitenfeld: Ann and Kathleen.
I just now learned of Rick's death Sept. 28, 2018.
Rick was my best friend at Tufts College, both NROTC, and he and I were commissioned Ensigns, USN, upon my graduation with an A.B. degree in 1954 and he with a Masters in Engineering. We both were assigned Naval Aviation training in Pensacola, Florida and went through basic training together. Rick, Mary Ellen Fitzgerald, and I, were very much involved at Tufts College "3Ps" theater group. We were close at flight training and communicated for years thereafter.
I wrote a memoir of my early years, and recounted several of my experiences with my best friend, Rick.
