Obituary of Ellen Jean Cintani

Ellen Jean Cintani of Lower Makefield Township, PA died on Wednesday October 10, 2018. She was 88 years old. Daughter of the late Frank and Sarah MacKay Passante, she was born in Ellwood City, PA and has resided in Lower Makefield for the past 54 years. Ellen was a secretary for the Pennsbury School District until her retirement. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling to many exotic countries, and going on beach trips with her family. She was President of the Welcome Wagon in Yardley, PA and President of the St. Ignatius Ladies Society. Her greatest joy in life was the love of her family. Mother of the late Susan Slack and sister to the late A. Robert Passante and Dorothy Tyler, she is survived by her husband of 68 years, James L. Cintani; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William and Marilyn Cintani, and James Cintani; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen and Michael Armes, and Karen and Dean Jefferys; her sister, Dawn MacKay; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road) Yardley, PA. Burial will follow at the Newtown Cemetery in Newtown, PA. Friends may call from 6pm to 8pm Friday at the funeral home.
