Dear John, Kyla, Patrick and dear Guillen Family,
Gloria touched the hearts and lives of so many. She was an Ambassador for the Lord Jesus Christ, whom she loved and served. The message of faith, hope, truth and love that she boldly shared, was an amazing inspiration to those who needed encouragement and to those who came to know her. Her illness, as difficult as it was for her, and for those who loved her, did not keep her from living her life to be a blessing to others. She was a prayer warrior. Years ago she shared with me, that one of her most cherished prayers to the Lord, was for Him to "let her live just the right amount of time so that together with John, they could raise their two beautiful children, Kyla and Patrick". God answered this prayer... and for this, I believe she was truly grateful.
Gloria was a joy, a blessing and a treasure wrapped in God's love. She has gone before us and is now celebrating her new life in the Lord's presence. I look forward to seeing her beautiful smile again, that twinkle in her eye and hearing her laughter. I am so happy for Gloria! (Song: Cara a Cara por Marcos Vidal).
Gloria loved dearly.... and she was dearly loved.
Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you and may God's peace and comfort fill your hearts until that day, that we too, join Gloria in His presence..... Yolanda

Dear Tia Gloria,
I have many Christmas memories filled with your decorations at my home. Along with many more conversarations I heard with you and my dad and how a brother and sister relationship can grow over time. I remember specifically the time you came to church and shared your testimony and how you felt God’s presence along your journey. Thank you for all that you’ve done.
Your nephew ,
Esteban

Gloria,
How do I even begin to put into words what a precious dear friend you have been to me since we were little girls. "Una amiga aunque lejos este siempre amiga ha de ser" that pretty much defines our friendship. Even though we were miles apart we always stayed close. The last 10 years of your earthly life where filled with struggle and pain. Through it all your faith and commitment to the Lord and your family were always your priority. I will always cherish in my heart our endless conversations. It was my privilege friend to pray with you and for you on this difficult journey. I know without a doubt that you are with our Lord and savior.
Love you Gloria!
Tench

Dear Tia Gloria,
I am saddened to know that you are no longer with us. We have shared distance talks and every time I have been marveled and motivated at your strength and bravery. You have a legacy of Perseverance, faith, creativity, art and most importantly love.
Thank you for being enthusiastic in my teaching career, your quilts adorn my classroom with love and care with a uniqueness that can only be described as you. I am constantly surrounded by your labor of love that have now become family heirlooms that I am proud to call mine and share their story; of an amazing courageous woman, wife, sister to my dear father, mother to my sweet cousins, tia to many nieces and nephews.
Your in a better place with our God and one day distance will no longer be a factor when God reunites all of our family.
Your niece,
Mairelys

The Broken Chain
Little did we know that evening that God was going to call you home. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone for part of us went with you. The day God called you home, you left us peaceful memories. Your love is still our guide and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken for the third time and nothing seems the same. As God calls us one by one, the chain will link again but this time in heaven together.
You will always be remembered,
Your sister Clara

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Gloria.
She was a talented, creative and amazing sister-in-law.
Her beautiful quilts and wonderful hand made decorations are part of her legacy of love. There isn’t a school I go to that someone always asks about the beautiful bag you made me of a “schoolhouse” theme. The memories and moments with you will always live in my heart.
I miss you and love you,
Amy
John, Kyla and Patrick you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I miss you sweet friend. What am I going to do without you. Even though we lived so far away, I always felt you close by my side. You were my rock, my motivator, and basically my hero. What a gift God gave me when he brought you back into my life at our 30th high school reunion! He knew how much we were going to need each other as we walked through our sickness together. While I may not be able to talk to you on the phone, I can talk to you through my heart, because that is where I will find you always. Now you're in your heavenly home with our loving Lord. I'll look forward to rejoicing and praising God along side you some day. What a great reunion that will be!

Gloria,
How can I begin to say "I miss you already". I'll miss our long distance chats, laughs and headline news. I remember our days in school and all the pranks we used to pull. I remember the days at home and all the fun and fights we had. Living life without you sister is already hard to bear. But the memories I have I'll cherish forever, they'll live in me and never die.
You'll forever in my heart, sister. I'm missing you and still asking God why?
The true beauty and irony is that our loss is another's reunion in heaven with other loved ones already gone.
I'll always love you and never forget you.
Whenever I see a Peony flower, I'll think of you beautiful smile.
- your brother

My beloved sister Gloria was a beautiful strong, proud, ambitious and very talented woman. She battled cancer for 10 long years through chemo, radiation, medication,
and many other arduous procedures and beat the odds! She had a strong desire to live but her life was drained physically and emotionally. Gloria met Jesus in her teen years and although she was weak, Jesus was always with her. Only He understood her pain and suffering and said “Enough my child, you have fought the fight, it’s time to bring you home.” You see Jesus promised He would never leave us or forsake us. Now Gloria is celebrating in heaven with all the angels and our wonderful beloved parents! Free from pain, my sister rejoices, we’ll see you in heaven when we all get there!

The sun shines down upon us
and gives us warmth and light.
Then when the day has ended,
it disappears from sight.
Though we're left in darkness,
we know the sun has not died,
for it is shining brightly
on the world's other side.
So it is when one we love
comes to their end of days.
They just go to the other side
to shine their loving rays.
That's why heaven is a place
that glows beyond compare.
The lights of those who've left us
are all brightly shining there.
