Obituary of Cynthia Aal
Please share a memory of Cynthia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Cynthia P. Aal, 84, of Bristol, Pennsylvania and Stuart, Florida passed away on January 18, 2019 from the progression of Alzheimer's disease. Cynthia, was born on a farm in Moreland, Idaho in 1934. Moreland was the town that her great-grandfather founded and named meaning "More Land" for the people moving there. Cynthia was the daughter of the late Emma and Sharp Parkin, sister of the late Louise Boyatt, and Lafe Parkin, and surviving John Parkin, Stan Parkin and Mary Hausen. Cynthia went to beautician school in Pocatello, Idaho to become a hairdresser and to live on her own until she met Bob Aal on a blind date. They were married for 57 years until his passing in 2013. Together they raised three children Lyn Aal-Magee (spouse David), Tom Aal (late) and Karen Osilka (spouse Mike and children Michael and Emma-Rose). While raising the kids she went back to school to become a licensed Radiologist Technician, which she loved for the science and medical knowledge. She retired early so she could watch and spend time with her beloved and precious grandchildren who called her Mor-Mor ("Mother's Mother" in Norwegian). She loved to travel, spend time with the family, grandchildren, and friends, garden, animals, and cooking wonderful meals for anyone who was sitting at her table. Cynthia was famous for many dishes but her cheese cake with lime sour-cream topping was the most famous. Cynthia was a member of the Martha Washington Garden Club for several years and won several ribbons for her arrangements. Cynthia was always upbeat, positive, smiling, and fun to be around and her true essence never left her. Cynthia, Mom, Mor-Mor will be truly missed.

A celebration of her life was held at Treasure Coast Seawinds of Stuart Florida on Wednesday January 23, 2019. More information can be found on their web page at: https://www.treasurecoastseawinds.com/obituary/cynthia-aal This gathering was very informal since Cynthia loved wearing jeans. Cynthia was known to share just about anything except for her piece of key lime pie. With that said key lime pie, coffee, tea and water was provided at the Florida celebration with lots of hugs and kisses. Unfortunately Pennsylvania does not allow food in funeral parlors so no key lime pie for the Pennsylvania celebration.
