Colleen. You were one of the best. The last time I saw you, it was a Tuesday. You were bar keeping. I came down for lunch to John and peters night club. I knew you would be outside at the bar, down the road from where we used to work together.
Thank you. For watching over me then! Thank you for watching over me now Colleen. You will be missed…and remembered.

Oh Colleen, I don't even know where to start. I have never met anyone as vibrant, funny and caring as you. You were a great neighbor, and more importantly a great friend. Even with me moving to Denver, we still made that effort to connect when I was back visiting. The world just won't be the same without you. I miss you friend.

I miss you my dear friend. We've had so many laughs and some cries. I'm pretty sure you introduced me to my husband. The world needs more like you

So many things I want to say! I hope that you knew how special you were to me! First of all, my sister wasn't nice to me when I was little (love you Sissy). I remember you going out of your way to make me feel special even though she hated it. Lol. You would come in my room and play barbie's with me! You gave me all of your barbie stuff that you outgrew. I remember staying all night with you. Oh! The little bitty curling iron that you used to curl your bangs with for 45 minutes because they had to be perfect! Lol. You tried to teach me how to smoke a cigarette as stupid as that sounds now. It was the cool thing to do back then. The way you ran with those long legs at 3rd street ball diamond where you played softball. We all used to laugh at you, but it wasn't a mean gesture, it was more like, omg! You gotta love her! I know we hadn't seen each other in a long time, but the love and admiration was always there! I always thought you were beautiful! I will miss you always, Colleen! This isn't fair! I love you so very much! Until we meet again, my beautiful cousin! You weren't just beautiful on the outside, but on the inside too! I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say, our hearts are completely shattered! Until we meet again, COZ!!!!

I’ve lit candles all over the world for family and friends. It is only appropriate for me to light a virtual candle and pray for you. Although we never met your Mom and your Aunt Beverly are the cousins I remember while growing up. The Nativity and snow scenes your great grandparents displayed at Christmas were epic. I will always consider Granite City “home” since my Mom was born there. All part of you. Goodbye, Colleen. Rest in Eternal Peace.
