Obituary of Gloria M. Fitzpatrick
Gloria M. Fitzpatrick, 85, of Yardley, PA, formerly of Falconer, NY, passed away on Nov. 19th, 2020 after a short battle with cancer.
She was born June 21st, 1935, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Leon F. Swanson and the late Kathryn Abbey Backus.
Gloria was a graduate of Falconer Central School, and for 34 years, was employed as a process engineer at SKF USA Inc. She was a member of the Falconer Methodist Church before joining the Woodside Presbyterian Church of Yardley, PA.
She loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and the family fur babies Marcie and Honey. Throughout the years, Gloria enjoyed movies, Broadway shows in NYC and going on trips with her daughters and grandchildren. She loved reading the daily newspaper, watching westerns, crime dramas and the Buffalo Bills games on TV. She was an avid reader of books.
She is survived by two daughters: Diane (David) Palmer of Yardley, PA and Dawn (Randall) Brown of Sicklerville, NJ; grandmother of Nicholas and Alexander Palmer and Jordyn and Hannah Brown: a brother Robert (Randi) Backus, Jr. from Randolph NY, a sister Paula (Samuel) Pantall of Sinclairville, NY.
As per her wishes, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, visitation and funeral services will not be observed.
