Dorothy J. Heinze
Dorothy J. Heinze of East Brunswick, NJ died on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA. She was 90.
Born in Vineland, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Augustus Wellington and Pauline Adams of Vineland and the wife of the late George E. Heinze.
Dorothy graduated from Vineland High School in 1947 and then Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in 1951 where she received her Bachelors Degree in Teaching/Education. She was a gifted elementary school teacher with a lengthy and rewarding career in the East Brunswick school system. Dorothy was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers’ Sorority. Dorothy was an active member of Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, and served on its Pre School’s(Crossroads Early Learning Center) Executive Board. Dorothy also loved dogs, especially the Weimaraner breed and served as a Board Member of the Garden State Weimaraner Club. She and her late husband George raised and showed Weimaraners for 40 years. She was loved, well liked and well regardedby her family, friends and peers and made a positive impact in everything she did. She will be missed but remembered forever.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Hoyt of West Chester, PA; her son, George D. Heinze of Newtown, PA; and five grandchildren, Dane Hoyt, Alyssa Hoyt-Rich, Kelly Bosco, George J. Heinze and Nathan Heinze.
A Memorial service at the Christ Memorial Lutheran Church will be planned and heldlater this year.
