Angelo M. Ferrante

Angelo M. Ferrante of Yardley, PA died peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the home of his daughter. He was 93.

Angelo was born in Trenton, NJ to the late Michael and Lena Naples Ferrante. He worked for the US Postal Service from 1945 until his retirement in 1985, except for a two-year hiatus during the Korean War working in the mail room at Camp Kilmer earning the rank of Corporal. In 1952, he married and built a house in Yardley where he and his wife raised their family and lived for almost 70 years. After retiring from the USPS, he started a career with Lawrence Toyota that lasted over 20 years.

Angelo was best known for his kind and gentle heart, his patience, and his strong faith in God. He loved a good game of cards and old black-and-white comedies, especially Abbott and Costello. His welcoming demeanor always made those around him feel at ease.

He is survived by his wife, Rosanne Palmieri Ferrante and his brother-in-law, Frank Palmieri of New York; his daughter, Mary Ann Poole of Haddam, CT; two sons, Frank Ferrante of Yardley, PA, and Michael (Diana) Ferrante of Middleton, WI, five grandchildren, and multiple cousins.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on August 17, 2021 at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Avenue in Yardley. Burial will follow, with military honors, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
