Obituary of Frances Purpura

Frances Purpura Frances (Francesca) Purpura of Lower Makefield Township, PA passed away on Saturday August 22, 2021, at her home. She was 88. Born in the town of Carini, Italy, a daughter of the late Vito Russo and Maria Buzzetta Russo, she resided in Lower Makefield for the past 43 years. Frances was a homemaker who raised her family with great food, good music, and much love. She was proud of her heritage and passed it along to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren all these many years. Wife of the late Ambrogio Purpura, and sister of the late Anna Randazzo, she is survived by a son, James Purpura of Ft. Myers, FL; three daughters and sons-in-law, Antoinette and Vincent Amato of Cape May Courthouse, NJ, Maria and Aldo Carollo of Langhorne, PA, and Anna and Salvatore Alongi of Yardley, PA; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Road, Morrisville, PA, where friends may call from 9:30am. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville, PA.
