Carolyn Ann Rupprecht of Yardley, PA died peacefully on Sunday November 21, 2021 at Sunrise Senior Living of Lower Makefield, surrounded by her loving family. She was 8 days shy of her 87th birthday.
She was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 29, 1934 in Progress, PA. The youngest of the nine children of the late William and Clementine (Schneider) Glatz, she has been a lifelong area resident. Carolyn attended Holy Angels Grammar School in Trenton, Cathedral High School, Trenton, as a freshman, then Pennsbury High School, graduating in the Class of 1952.
In 1953 she married her husband and best friend, Eddie, and began an active family life. They were married for 58 years before his death in 2011. Carolyn was a remarkable homemaker and mother of seven children. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts, gardening, traveling, and playing with her children and grandchildren. Carolyn was fun-loving, family-oriented, kind, and friendly. She always loved a good party or a big snowstorm. After raising her family, she worked for the Yardley Mill Store, Sears, and then CVS in Yardley. She was an enthusiastic participant in community activities, a member of VFW Post 6393 Auxiliary, and St. Ignatius Parish for over 80 years.
Wife of the late Edward A. Rupprecht, she is survived by her children, Susan and Ron Polka of Las Cruces, NM; Joyce and Steve Crockett of Raymond, ME; Ed and Tess Rupprecht of Lower Makefield; Diane and David Siglin of Concord, NH; Debbie Sheridan and Dan Fossile of Bensalem, PA; Linda and Scott Wetherill of Springtown, PA, and Stephen and Lynn Rupprecht of Lower Makefield; 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill, Dick, Larry, Joe, Don, Harry and Francis Glatz, and her sister Mary Parks.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Monday November 29th at St.
Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, PA, where friends may call from 9:45am to 10:45am.
