Doris M. Finney

Doris Marie Finney, 77, of Bristol, PA peacefully returned to the Lord on Monday January 10, 2022 at her home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of the late John P. and Doris Simone Kelly,

she grew up in Lower Makefield Township, PA.

Doris was a graduate of Bishop Egan High School, Immaculata College (now University) and held a Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of California at San Diego. She enlisted in the US Navy, serving ten years as a nurse with a deployment in Japan. Upon her honorable discharge as a Lieutenant, she worked in various hospitals in Los Angeles and San Diego in critical care and trauma units. Doris returned to Bucks County in 2007 and enjoyed being reunited with family and friends and became a well known advocate for animals. She had a special connection with dogs and cats that

was remarkable.

Wife of the late Lieutenant Commander, Robert Finney, and sister of the late Master Chief Petty Officer, John P. Kelly, Patricia Ann Kelly, and Sarah Anne Kelly, she is survived by her brother, Michael Kelly of Morrisville, PA and two sisters, Kathleen Smith of Bristol, PA, and Mary Codd of Lower Makefield, PA,

as well as several nieces and nephews.
