Mildred R. Emslie
Mildred R. Emslie, 99, of Lower Makefield Township, PA died on Friday April 8, 2022, at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA.
Born in Trenton, NJ, daughter of the late Albert Charles Moser and Hattie Ochs Moser, she resided in Lower Makefield for the past 72 years.
Mildred was a graduate of Trenton State Teachers College (now the College of New Jersey) and received her Master's in Education from Columbia University in
New York City. Besides raising her family, she had a long and rewarding career in teaching elementary grades first in Trenton and then Hamilton Township, NJ. Mildred was a member in both the local and national teachers' associations, the MCREA and the NEA. She was an active member of the Woodside Presbyterian Church and very much enjoyed the Young at Heart group in her later years.
Wife of the late Norman M. Emslie, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Geoffrey B. Emslie of West Berlin, NJ, and Douglas A. and Joanne B. Emslie of Levittown, PA, and one granddaughter, Sarah E. Emslie.
Her funeral service will be on Friday April 22, 2022 at 2:30pm at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, PA, where friends may call at 2pm.
