Obituary of Charlotte J. Sands

Charlotte J. Sands Charlotte J. Sands, 90, of Lower Makefield Township, PA died on Thursday November 24, 2022, at Chandler Hall in Newtown. Born in Cheltenham Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Emma Kohs Kniss. Charlotte was a longtime resident of Lower Makefield Township, where she and her husband William raised their family. She later became a Bank Teller at The First National Bank & Trust Co. of Newtown where she enjoyed assisting customers. Charlotte was the wife of the late William R. Sands, Jr., she is survived by her son, William R. Sands, III and his wife, Barbara of Newtown; her daughter, Sandra J. Ruddy of Newtown; two grandchildren, Patrick and Aaron Markward, and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be 11am Friday December 2, 2022, at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, PA, where friends may call from 9:30am. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, alzfdn.org
