Obituary of Stephanie L. Lutkins
Please share a memory of Stephanie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Stephanie "Nini" Lutkins, 29, of Philadelphia, on January 3, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, she had been a lifelong resident of Newtown, PA.
Stephanie obtained a degree in Early Childhood Education and had a natural gift of working with both children and special needs adults. Even as a young girl, she could be found in the neighborhood with half a dozen little children around her. She furthered her education through numerous certification programs in the Special Needs and medical field. As a Behavior Technician with Behavioral Interventions, she provided ABA therapy for children on the autistic spectrum. She also worked with special needs adults, assisting them with their everyday lives. She was always concerned that both special needs children and adults learned they did have a voice.
Stephanie was very outgoing and sociable and she could easily light up the room. She was also a very compassionate and caring person with a huge heart. She would quickly comfort and cry with people who needed a hug or a bit of love. The miracle in her life is that she was an organ donor and has already provided life to three people.
Stephanie's greatest love was her daughter Sophia Hope Lutkins. She wanted nothing more than to build family traditions for her. She is the granddaughter of the late Evelyn Kehoe of Yardley, Pa, and Frances and Peter Schneidau of Connecticut. She is survived by her loving parents Marshall and Maureen (Kehoe) Lutkins of Newtown, Pa, her daughter Sophia Hope Lutkins, her boyfriend Jermaine Leach of Philadelphia, her brother Daniel Lutkins of Newtown, Pa, her grandfather Roger Kehoe of Yardley, Pa, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 10:00am at St. Martha Parish Church 11301 Academy Road Philadelphia, PA 19154. A calling hour will be held from 9:00am to 10:00am at the church. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, River Road, Yardley, PA 19067. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program (www.donors1.org) or to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (aafa.org). Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Ave. Yardley, PA 19067. Condolences for the family can be left at www.fitzgeraldsommerfuneralhome.com.
