Obituary of William A. Dyott

William A. Dyott, 93, of Yardley, PA, passed away on October 22, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Born in Trenton, he has been a lifelong Morrisville and Yardley resident. He was a graduate of Morrisville High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was retired from Carpenters Union Local #167. He was a longtime member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, and he enjoyed many years with his family and friends at his vacation home in Sheffield, VT.

 

Son of the late Elmer and Anna (Gernhaber) Dyott, and brother of the late John "Jack" Dyott.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Margaret (Schmidt) Dyott of Yardley, PA, his children William A. "Bill" Dyott II of Yardley, PA, and Patricia "Patti" Sheffer and her husband John W. III of Yardley, PA, his grandchildren Courtney Dyott, John W. "Wes" Sheffer IV, and Janet Sheffer, his great-granddaughter Leila Callahan, and his nieces Sondra Dyott, and Sharon Dyott.

 

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 12:00pm at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church 771 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Morrisville, PA 19067. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Rd. Newtown, PA 18940. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Morrisville Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S.
