Obituary of Thomas W. Perkins

Thomas Walter Perkins, 77, of Morrisville, PA, passed away on January 29, 2024. Born in Trenton, NJ and raised in Lower Makefield, PA, Mr. Perkins was a 54-year resident of Pennsbury Heights. He was a graduate of Pennsbury High School and attended Bucks County Community College for computer science. He proudly served with the United States Army Scouts in Vietnam. Mr. Perkins was an IBM mainframe computer operator at Educational Testing Service in Princeton, NJ, and also taught IBM mainframe training at Princeton University. Mr. Perkins was a senior systems analyst at SPS Technologies Inc. for 30 years and a senior technical support specialist for Infocrossing Inc., a computer outsourcing company. Mr. Perkins obtained many certificates in IBM software training over the years. Mr. Perkins was a former two term Commander and Parade Marshall of the VFW Post 6393 in Yardley, CEO and Commander of the Veterans of the Vietnam War Inc. Post PA-65, member of the American Legion Post 834, member of the Mobile Riverine Force Association, Delaware Valley Vietnam Vets DV3 Chapter, and member of the Honor Guard of the VFW Post 6393 in Yardley. Mr. Perkins loved tinkering with computers, working on his house, fishing, boating, and camping on the Delaware River. Son of the late Arthur R. and Mary M. (Mack) Perkins, and brother of the late Arthur J. Perkins. He is survived by his loving childhood sweetheart and wife of more than 62 years Audrey (Misero) Perkins of Morrisville, his brother Michael R. Perkins of Phoenixville, PA, and his Godsons Michael L. Misero of Levittown, PA and Alex T. Perkins of Phoenixville, PA. Funeral services and interment with military honors at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 11:00am.
