Obituary of Helene C. Stowe

Helene C. Stowe, 79, of Langhorne, PA, passed away on February 29, 2024, after a brief illness. Born in Manhattan, NY, she has been a long-time area resident. After her retirement, Helene and her husband, Ronald, moved to Chapel Hill, NC, where they spent 25 years before recently moving back to Langhorne, PA. Helene was a graduate of The College of New Jersey where she received her undergraduate degree and Masters degree. She was a teacher in the Pennsbury School District for 33 years. She enjoyed spending time at her beach house on LBI where she spent many summers, she was an avid reader, and an extensive traveler. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Essock) Potishnak. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 58 years, Ronald R. Stowe of Langhorne, PA, her children Randall S. Stowe of San Francisco, CA, Darin T. Stowe of Morrisville, PA, and Heather L. Stowe of Newtown, PA, her brother Kenneth Potishnak of Barnegat, NJ, her brother-in-law Robert Miller and his wife Sue of Jupiter, FL, sister-in-law Robin Williams of Levittown, PA, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 11:30am at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, PA 19067. Calling hours for family and friends will be from 10:00am to 11:15am at the church. Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067.
