Scott has played a central role in my professional development as an environmental attorney, where I have relied on his steady, keen advice and professionalism since 2001. More importantly, over the decades, we found kinship (partly because our shared tenures in Antarctica), and I looked forward to our long, rambling conversations in between client matters. He really was the kindest person; never with a negative word, and yet never a "push-over". This is a sad surprise to hear of Scott's passing, and I will miss him.

I was so sorry to hear about Scott’s passing. He was my go-to, highly trusted environmental consultant, and brought a level of sophistication, judgment to everything he did that will never be equalled. Working together on many matters over the years we became friends. Above all, his love for and devotion to his family was always paramount. He was kind, generous, always interesting, and genuine. I will miss him and send my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Scott. May your memory be a blessing.

This was areal shock for me. I am absolutely stunned. I was not aware of his battle with cancer. May God take Scott to his bosom and give him peace. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

To the whole family -- I am so sorry for your loss. I always look back fondly at our Outer Banks trips and felt like it was such a key part of Scott's being. I feel so lucky to have gotten to share in that. Thinking of you Kathy, Erin, Olivia, Tyler, and Colin.

Hi . I direct this to you Scott. Though not a part of your inner circle, at Mt Hermon you were always in my sight. Besides swimming together with the polar bear club, where you stayed in the frigid water longer than me ,you also had quite another gift.
I was clumsy skinny tall guy not to good at any sport. Except table hockey and foosball . I believed I was the Tom Brady of the two sports. Till I met you. You destroyed me every single time we played Amazing really!
As age creeps in, we reflect what we have accomplished in this group of old friends and acquaintances .We all seem to have been done quite well especially you. However what I will remember most is the table hockey Bird Magic rivalry. You owned me!
Rest well, my brother, none of us are that far behind.

I first crossed paths with Scott nearly 24 years ago, and our professional journey together spanned through different phases of my career. From our initial encounter as external contractor to the Company to our collaboration at Environ and later Ramboll. He not only facilitated my transition into the company where I now work but also entrusted me with numerous projects over the years. Scott was a great colleague and in many ways a mentor. His expertise in environmental matters was matched only by his generosity in sharing knowledge and guiding others. I'll always have the memories of our collaborations and the invaluable lessons I learned from him. I am sure Scott's passing has left a profound void in all of his colleagues, and I am deeply saddened by the news. His legacy as an outstanding environmental professional and mentor will continue to inspire many in our field. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues during this challenging time. Also on behalf of everyone at the Ramboll Mexico Office, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Descansa en Paz Scott!!

Scott was one of the responsible for hiring me to work for almost 9 years at Ramboll Brazil. He worked as the Principal in Charge for the Brazilian operations. Staff likes him a lot. After I have substituted him we had a long lasting relationship with Mosaic, one of the key clients of Ramboll Brazil. We have several chats, performance reviews and other subjects diacussions. He loved his family much. An astonishing expert on litigation. I will feel deeply his absence.

I am Fabiana Gomes, and I worked closely under Scott’s management for 12 years at Environ/Ramboll Brazil. He was the kindest, most elegant mentor I ever had. Believe it or not I spoke of him to a friend today, few hours before I received the notice of his passing. That’s how unforgettable he was. I left Ramboll in 2020 and his mentoring and guidance are daily remembered as he had a paramount role in my professional and personal life. I’m devastated with the news of his passing. For the family, I hope you find solace in knowing that Scott made the difference in so many lives. Please accept my condolences and warmest regards. He will be deeply missed.
