Obituary of Terence M. Santella
Please share a memory of Terence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Terence (Terry) M. Santella of Langhorne, PA, on January 8, 2025.
Terry was born on February 17, 1947 in Altoona, PA, and moved to Yardley, PA at age 8. He attended Pennsbury High School and graduated from Penn State University in 1970. Terry was an electrical engineer and had a long career in the field of workplace safety and regulatory compliance. Prior to retirement, Terry established his own consulting business.
Terry loved sports, and was an avid Phillies, Eagles, and Penn State Nittany Lion fan. He was a collector of coins and baseball cards, and a very skilled billiard player. He loved nature, especially feeding the birds and watching the backyard deer. He also loved cars and was forever proud of his 1966 Chevy Impala convertible. He loved reading history, particularly of the American Revolution and U.S. Civil War. He loved photography, fishing, and the ocean.
Most importantly though, Terry loved his family. He was predeceased by his father, Eugene and his mother, Mary. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn, his daughter, Jessica and son-in-law Jim, his son Thomas and daughter-in-law Eliza, his brother Eugene and sister-in-law Lois, and his four grandchildren, Sarah, Kate, Joseph, and Lucy. We are thankful for the time we had with him and will miss him beyond words.
The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11:00am at The Olde Church of St. Andrew 135 S. Sycamore Street Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be held at All Saints Cemetery 291 Durham Road Newtown, PA 18940. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, from 10:00am to 11:00am at the church. Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Philabundance in Terry's honor. Condolences for the family can be left at www.fitzgeraldsommerfuneralhome.com.
