Kim McKinney Engelsman of Falls Township, PA died on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse in Philadelphia, PA.
Born in Queens, NY, a daughter of Byron H. and Doreen Robertson McKinney, she was a Falls resident for the past 24 years.
Kim was an elementary and special needs teacher in the Bucks County Intermediate Unit after serving in the Philadelphia School District. She was graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and received a Master's degree from Holy Family University. Prior to beginning her career in education, she was a fashion retail executive with Macy's in New York City.
Kim was an active member of Woodside Presbyterian Church where she was the Director of Classic Worship, which stemmed from her early interest in opera. She also participated in the Church's missionary endeavors to the Dominican Republic and Bahamas many times.
Amongst her interests were traveling, gardening and hosting pot luck dinners for her neighbors, friends and fellow Church members. Kim was much beloved by her grandniece and grandnephews.
She is survived by her son, Robertson C. Engelsman and his fiancée, Claire Joyce of Alamo, CA; her daughter, Alison C. Engelsman of Newtown, PA, and her sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and John Diracles of Minneapolis, MN.
Her Memorial Service will be at 1pm on Saturday, August 19th at the Woodside Presbyterian Church, 1667 Edgewood Road in Yardley, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Woodside Presbyterian Church.
