Obituary of Patrick F. Joy

Patrick F. Joy of Lower Makefield Township, PA died on Tuesday August 1, 2017 at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was 74. Born in Woodbury, NJ, son of the late Patrick and Mary Corcoran Joy, he has resided in Lower Makefield for the past 33 years. Pat was a mechanical engineer, retiring from Lockheed Martin. He was graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School in Gloucester City, NJ, and received his undergraduate and Master's degrees from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He was a member of St. Ignatius Parish, and an active Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and Past Grand Knight. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Leona Jurska Joy; his son, Kevin P. Joy, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the brother of the late, Bernadette Lumpkin (Joseph). His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30pm Saturday at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, PA, where friends may call from 10am. Family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Patrick F. Joy to Fr. McCafferty Scholarship Fund at St. Ignatius School in Yardley, PA.
