Roland Richard Formidoni, 81, of Titusville, NJ, died on October 20th, of 2024. A beloved husband and father, Roland will be remembered for the examples he set and the lives he helped flourish. Born May 16, 1943, in Trenton, New Jersey, Roland graduated from The Lawrenceville School, Class of 1961, Brown University, Class of 1965, and finally with a J.D. degree from Rutgers University School of Law, Class of 1968. He went on to spend most of his career as a partner in the Lenox Law Firm. Never having retired from his career as a worker's compensation attorney, Roland was also known for his groundbreaking work guiding parents through the adoption process. Roland spent his life in service both to those he loved and those he believed in. He was publicly recognized for his professionalism by his peers and recognized privately for his integrity by his loving family and friends. Roland, or "Dee" as he was called, was an avid golfer and a lifelong member of the Trenton Country Club. He participated on several local community boards and committees. He enjoyed cooking, motorcycling, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. His home away from home was Georgetown, Maine, where he and his family enjoyed decades of summer trips. Roland was the son of Roland and Mildred Amodio Formidoni. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Marlyn Tome Formidoni, and his children Elizabeth Formidoni and Juan Mendez, Richard Formidoni and Alison Dembe Formidoni, Peter Formidoni and Amy Ponte Formidoni, Christopher Formidoni, his brother Roger Formidoni and sister-in-law Virginia Formidoni, as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He is predeceased by his brother Bernard Russell Formidoni. The immediate family will host a gathering for family and friends on Sunday, November 3rd from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Trenton Country Club, 201 Sullivan Way, West Trenton, NJ 08628.
